Lakwatsera is a Filipino term that is used to call a person who always goes from one place to another (in short, does a lot of traveling around). This site aims to promote Philippine tourism through the author’s personal travels and experiences. Offshore locations are definitely on the author’s list (after exploring having explored much of the country)..Sharing a bit of what and what-not to-do during traveling, based on the stuff that she has learned. The site might also contain bits of historical facts (if and whenever it is available) from the places she visits. It will showcase information about travels, mostly using public transportation, and helping to save the Earth. The author might sometimes add a bit of her hobbies such as recycling and scrap art.

About the Author

She is a Software Developer who is inclined to a wide host of interests. These include travels, photography, scrap art and recycling, environment, history, technology (of course this goes without question) and a whole lot more. She is a true-blooded Filipina and is a self-confessed bakya.

She has always loved traveling but was only able to do a lot of island-hopping just last year (2008), when her parents finally realized that she was old enough to do so, and especially since she’s got the job to pay for all of her trips.

She loves to walk around the metro as well as checking out the countryside. She commutes most of the time (primarily because she doesn’t have a car thus also maximizing the commuting experience hahaha).  She loves reading books. Ever since she read Reader’s Digest Strange Worlds Amazing Places, she have dreamed of traveling and see the most astonishing places in the world.  Some of her favorites are the Harry Potter Epic, Jane Eyre, and His Dark Materials Trilogy. She is currently busy at work and little weekend travels that’s why the site have been inactive for several months now.

She is very much eager to promote environmentalism and Philippine tourism (one of the main reasons behind the conception of this the blog). She tends to be quite righteous to the point of being misinterpreted.

Green is her favorite color and summer is her favorite season of the year. She dreams of becoming a beach bum and an events coordinator and eventually, an entrepreneur.  She watches mostly comedy films (save for Titanic and Slumdog Millionaire – watched it out of curiosity) which are her favorites. She is a graduate of BS Computer Engineering. She is a novice self-proclaimed artist.

Ang Babaeng Kaladkarin – well, it originated from the time when me and my friends used to go almost anywhere, until it dawned upon us that any one of us could be easily dragged into going out on a trip. Thus, we were called Kaladkarin. Translation? Hmmm… draggable? Hahaha… Oh well, moving on…
